The Catholic thrift shop down the street is going out of business. We took a walk there today. Everything was half off. We got there twenty minutes before closing and I only had 5 dollars in my pocket, but I managed to score a few knitting mags from the 80s (hooray for ghastly sweater patterns!). They were selling old library books. I wanted to take so many of them home — for their covers alone! I snapped a few pics of my faves:

Rogers Corner served final meal on Saturday.
This was one of my favorite restaurants. I always ate there for my birthday. I’ll miss the black and white checkerboard floor, the jukebox, the grilled cheese, the bathroom so incredibly tiny that the sink was out in the hall, and especially the pharmacy mural:
